I would like to put simple line sketches of parts in an MS Word report.

I want a lossless file that looks similar to the pdf with sharp lines.

How can I do this, I can first convert it into a drawing with no title block but then what shal I save it as? Shal I use the edrawings program?

Thanks, Chris.

I would try saving it as a dxf and then converting the dxf to an emf (enhanced metafile). You might be able to open the dxf in DWGEditor and simply copy and paste between that and Word. A quick Google search shows that there are emf printers just like there are pdf printers, although I have never used one.

PNG format is great for this. Convert a drawing to PDF, then convert the PDF to PNG using GhostScript (widely available shareware).

Or you could set the SW model to Wireframe display and then drag and drop the SW document into a Word doc.

TheTick,

GhostScript is a PostScript converter. If you can save PostScript, embed the PostScript into your MS Word document. PostScript meets the OP's requirements exactly.

Set up a PostScript printer and print to disk.

Or get the view you want on screen (drawing or model or whatever) and hit the print screen button on the keyboard and paste into MS Word and crop as needed.

I tryed many of theses methods. Good results were achived by saving the drawing as a pdf then using ghostscript to change it to a png.

Thanks for the help guys :)
