An isokietic rowing machine allows the rower to pull at a constant speed. To do this a motor and clutch system is used. We need the motor to range from 700rpm to 30 rpm. How do I do this? If the motor is set at say 100 rpm so the rower can only pull at that speed but he is trying to put more force into the motor by pulling harder i.e. trying to make it speed up. What effect does this have on the motor and how do I deal with it?
