Hello guys,
I would like to know if ISO 9906 says that centrifugal pumps should be tested with degassed water in it's NPSHr test. If it does, is it possible to obtain degassed water without having a vacuum installation nor boiling the water to be pumped? Does exist any chemical product which allows to obtain degassed water?

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

ISO 9906 say (11.2.3):
"The liquid shall be clean and clear and should not contain solid matter. As far as possible free gas should be removed before the test.
De-aeration of water used for a cavitation test is necessary only if the pump is to be used in practice with de-aerated water.
Conversely, to avoid de-gassing in any part of the pump, the water of the circuit should not be supersaturated."

So depend on the use of the pump to test
bye carlo
