Hi

I run a local engineering company who requires the following from a piece of software .

Being able to log a job giving it a job number
Assigning timesheets or man hours to that job
Assigning materials to the job.
Assigning an estimated job time for completion
Planning work on a calendar or timeline so multi-users
can look at a global picture of whats happening.
The ability to drag and drop jobs into timeline
and somehow keep a list of all jobs ongoing and when they
need completing by.
Enough waffling , also needs to be easy to use

cheers
chris

Good list of requirements!

Microsoft Project will not help you here. It falls short in meeting many of your requirements.

Microsoft Project Server would meet all of your requirements except one: "Needs to be easy to use".

For more information on Microsoft Project Server, you can try this link:

Best of luck on your search, not sure if there is anything out there that does all that and easy to use! Be sure to let us know what you come up with. I would be curious.
