Hi all,
One of our departments is required to perform a simple breaking torque inspection on all fasteners that come in from the vendor. Traditionally, we just use a torque wrench and a vice to increase the torque until the bolt head breaks off. Obviously, this requires a great deal of time and labor and we were hoping to automate this process given the high volume of fasteners that require receiving inspections. Does anyone know of any machines that are available that will perform a loaded test that will calculate the max torque at fracture? If not, any ideas on how to automate this process?
Thanks,
Jeff
