Hello,

my problem is that the wall thickness check from the molded part validation is not feasible for complicated cast parts like a cylinder head.
The first problem is that even if if you filter the check results (and also use very small tolerances for the check) the checker always shows sharp corners.
The second problem is that the results also show some random faces which are no problem at all.
We use the three main cad systems since we have to use the CAD system our customer requires and in ProE there is a tool (we use) which provides a list of all problematic areas and there is a very small chance that you miss something.
In Catia (and also ProE) there is also the add on tool Caliper which also provides a list during the check.
But I cannot find anything suitable for UG.

Does anybody has an idea how to improve the wall thickness checks in UG NX or if there is a tool we can buy?

Thanks
