In particular, I am interested in determining the mass transfer coefficient for light hydrocarbons (offspec material) in vacuum residue material. Thanks.

Hi,

It is good to know about the mass transfer coefficient of the light hydrocarbons but you may find it in the hand book of refinery by meyers or by Suresh. Some of the charachteristics are given in these hand books but mostly not in Hysis.by comparison you may be able to roughly figure it out but actual figures you may not get it.
It is after all a simulation software.and be specific about the light Hydrocarbons ( oil fractions) so you may get it through hand books.

Thanks ,

Adil
