Is extraction, in this case, really necessary? Split Ac + Ventilation

Hello there,

I have this 17m² office room.

Air is cooled by 18000 BTU/h split AC unit.

Outdoor air is supplied at 20 liters/second.

Is extraction, in this case, really necessary?

Conservation of mass. That 20 LPS you bring in has to go somewhere.
If you don't provide a fan or louver to allow the excess air to escape, the air will find its way out via weak points in the structure. You said this is for an office, you can transfer the air to another space if that's available.

The room is not 100% sealed, so the exhaust can be achieved by exfiltration through openings, right?

Normally in split AC systems, outdoor air is not provided separately because infiltration through doors and windows serves the purpose of bringing in fresh air. if you are bringing in fresh air then exfiltration will normally be enough. i dont think there is any need of separate arrangement for exhaust unless you feel that the room is pressurized. check for example by push opening the door from outside towards inside room. if it feels abnormal/hard then an exhaust fan should be installed.
