Hi Everyone,

I wonder if the lateral loads are something to consider when modeling the slab in SAFE? I noticed that many engineers just consider the vertical loads acting on the slab.

Thank you.

If you are not using the slab as part of your lateral load resisting system (which is typical) then generally you ignore the lateral loads.

That makes sense! Thank you for your answer.
