Iron flow batteries

I had been following Vanadium flow batteries, but vanadium isn't exactly cheap, and apart from a few niches they haven't taken off.

Iron chloride, OTOH, is practically free (seawater+red soil). There's something of the order of 6 of these being built. They aren't amazingly cheap sadly, build cost is of the order of $50 per kWh, for a 12 hour system, (I think) but of course you just add more storage tanks to get more hours.
