Hello guys

I have made the involute spline for the geometry of the tooth of gear.I didn 't follow the instructions of PTC,but I put the equation of involute spline in (fy=tan(ay)-ay(rad))ProE.If the Basic diameter is bigger than root diameter, how can I continue the involute spline with out a tangent line? Also, for helical gears the angle helix equation will be the angle on basic diameter or on modul diameter?

I have a 2 UDF's (User Defined Feature) for creating internal or external splines and gears.

The equation I use is far more complicated and takes into account your question of basic and root diameters.

Email me at "gmorris@pttech.com" if you would like me to send them to you.
