Basically, I'm constructing different crystal lattice packing types in Solid Edge, including simple cubic, face centered cubic, body centered cubic, etc.
I am interested in visualising the pathways between these spheres as opposed to the spheres themselves, thus I want Solid Edge to invert the solid spheres to "space" and make the spaces between the spheres "solid" to better visualise.
I'm using V11. can anyone shed some light please?

Thanks,

You have one part with all of the spheres in it, or an assembly with all of the spheres.

Create a second part that is your cubic (just a cube in SE).

Create an assembly of the cube and the spheres.

Edit the cube in place, and inter-part copy the entire spheres part.

Use a Boolean substraction to remove the spheres from the cube.

that's perfect.

thanks for the information
