I'm new to this world and need a program to design weldments, parts for bending , cutting files for a CNC shapecutter also complete machines with Hydro. Elect. Pnew.and structural elements. do I need to Go back and learn AMD or should I stick to Inventor for all my needs. I also have a ESAB shape cutter with Centricut controller that takes EIA RS-274D or ESSI part programs can I do these from Inventor7 , or a 2 axis program then convert it? Thanks again

Stick with Inventor or similar package. Don't subject yourself to MDT...

There's a reason why Autodesk decided to develop Inventor...
