Inventor to Solid Edge 2

Hi guys I have been told I will have to learn some new software, and SolidEdge may be one of them, I was wondering how difficult it wouild be for me to move over from Inventor to Solid Edge. Thank you for any help.

Hello Corby,

Inventor, Solidworks and Solid Edge are not that much apart. They all make use of a feature tree to create and edit a part. They might use different terms for the same feature.

Solid Edge has an apprentice mode that can be activated on the opening screen which helps new comers to easily find commands. A feature that you will find different in Solid Edge is the “Ribbon Bar” that guides you through the creation of a part feature.

I found a few commands to be kinda "backward" with respect to Inventor (what i learned on as well).

It took me about 3 to 4 weeks to become productive. Prior to that, I was a bit slower then average.

I tried to help a friend with Inventor recently, and Now find it hard to use! HAHA
