Inventor multi body parts

When i have made a metric ipt using multi body parts, then going to Manage tab and make components, selecting components and selecting metric assembly, once the assembly is created if i inspect a part it is metric but if i open that part from the assembly and inspect measure the units are now imperial. Any ideas its driving me nuts.Im using inventor 2015

Your default templates are Imperial. Either change your default templates (not the ones in the folder called Metric or English, but the ones in the folder above them).

Or...

You can change each template in the Make Components box to be a Metric IPT instead of a Standard template selection.
