Inventor 2011 not working after updating to Windows 8.1 1

I updated to Windows 8.1 a few weeks ago. I went to use my Inventor the other day and I get an application error on launch (error 0xc0000142). Anyone else having the same issue? AutoCAD still functions properly.

Apparently Inventor 11 & Windows 8.1 are not compatible.

A "smart" person should ensure that all the programs they use are compatible with an operating system BEFORE they install it.
So now you need to find out how to uninstall the update or purchase/install a version of Inventor that IS compatible with Windows 8.1

Thanks for the great advice mcgyvr. I wish I was a smarter person to figure out how to re-install windows and my CAD software. Which slot does the DVD go in? One step at a time, I just learned how to turn on the mouse.

Put the DVD in the tray you thought was a drink holder.

It seems that Autodesk has now added a hotfix to address Windows 8.1..
So now all you need to do is install that..
