Does anybody have any experience of casting and/or machining Invar 36?

What are the pitfalls to watch for, and are there any little tricks I should know.

bruv,I have made castings in invar 36 and there are a whole lot of issues in getting a sound casting. If you could let me know the part to be cast and the process is being adopted for manufacture,I can share some of my experiences.

Our machining was limited to very thin sections and when a request was made to machine thicker sections a squeal went up from the model shop.
