Could someone please help me interpret UG34 of the ASME code Section VII Div. 1
In UG34 sketch "q". the factor C=0.75 is given for threaded end caps up to 12" in diameter. If we want to use this style of end cap, but in 14" diameter, is there any part of the code that allows this?

I've never used such a type of closure and the code seems very limitative: it's not allowed, under the rules of UG-34, above 12" ID (not NPS). No other rules of my knowledge treat this topic: of course you can always treat it as a special component and qualify by test...
