compress sees a long shell section as one design element.
an internal head is normally...for compress to care about it...is a pressure component that separates two pressure chambers.
the top shell...above the head is one shell section for one pressure chamber.
the lower shell....below the head is another pressure chamber.
each pressure chamber should have it's own shell so you can assign different pressure/temperature requirements to either or both of them.
this way the program can assign internal pressure and external pressure, two corrosion allowances etc.
