Insulation on PVC Condensate Piping??????

The MEP Engineer on a particular assisted living building is calling for insulation on PVC condensate drains from resident PTAC units. As industry standard typically does not wrap PVC condensate drains, can anyone help in citing a source that I can use as help to side-step this additional labor & material?

I spec insulation on them also. Both for noise and condensation issues.
