hi friends :

can any one help me to do this :

method of measurements for cost-estimating insulation .

is there any articles dicuss this point , from where i must measure ,if i have got elbows , fittings ,etc..?
for ducts and pipes
thanks in advanse for every one help me .

best regards

For instance - Means Mechanical Cost Data Book will give you direction how to make an estimate - (RSMeans Company - you can find it easily on net).

Elbows, fittings and similar are normally applied as equivalent lenght of straight pipe - elbow is normally counted as 1 m of pipe and similar - the mentioned book gives some tables.

But that is the guide only. If you want to develop serious job, you will have to track actual data after your first estimates and that way to continually improve accuracy.
