Not sure that's a very good title but it's late and my brain quit working a while back.

I have a model of a sand casting. It is based on a swept protrusion so has moderately complex surfaces. I need to do a fit check at the next assy level of several covers that go around it. The tolerance is at least +-.06", +-.09" on some surfaces.

So I either need to do a 'find minimum distance' between the surfaces which I can only seem to do one surface of the sand casting against one cover surface at a time OR I need to be able to add the appropriate amount of material to the surfaces so I can do an interference check.

Any ideas how best to achieve this?

Solid Edge V19 & I did a search but to no real avail.

You can do min distance between 2 solids.

Quadro FX4600.

Indeed you can, how the heck did I not see that last night.

Thanks Beach, that does about 90% of what I wanted, I'll make the over 10% up as penance.
