Hello,

I have a small doubt on the tolerance of ID mismatch between Valve to Pipe Connection.

Since the Valve is having a ID of 308 mm, and the Connecting pipe to valve is having ID of 306mm.

How ASME Code or EN code allows to use this kind of mismatch in ID?

Which code I need to refer? Please help.

Thanks in advance

kind Regards,
R. Ilanseran

Codes being used? "ASME" means nothing - there are many codes - same as EN
Pressure?
Material strength?
Tolerance used?

All those can be different so not surprising the ID can vary by 2mm in over 300.

If this is piggable then yes, you may need o machine it exact or add a amp, but 1mm in radius you would have difficult to measure. Individual pipes could be more than that and still be in tolerance.
