ASME Code Stamping and TEMA compliance

Hi everybody,
I would like to ask a simple question, regarding a heat exchanger U stamp under Asme viii div 1.
Considering that are two differents codes, Is the heat exchanger required to fulfill all the requirements of TEMA (i.e. minimal thickness, baffles, etc...), it relays directly in jurisdictions or it depends on the two parts agreement?

Almost all ASME VIII-1 S&T heat exchangers are designed to meet TEMA (Class R) standards as well, along with API660 standard if you are in the oil & gas industry. This is established up front in your bidding/purchase order documents with the vendor typically. If you say nothing, most vendors will default to meeting the TEMA (Class R) standard.

So you actually have three separate codes/standards you're dealing with for an oil & gas S&T heat exchanger, but as far as jurisdictional/legal requirements go, the S&T heat exchanger only needs to be stamped/certified to ASME VIII-1
