inside and outside hose connection

first sorry for my bad english.I would like to ask about the definitions of outside hose allowance and inside hose allowance? what is means by them?. As per my understanding as i go through NFPA 1, inside hose connection is ClASS II FHC While outside hose connection is fire Hydrant?Am i getting it right?

Second question : is there a difference between sprinkler hose connection and Standpipe hose connection for CLASS II. It is mentioned in NFPA 13
HANDBOOK that Sprinkler hose connection (NFPA 13) IS 1 in. while standpipe hose connection is 1 1/2 in. inlet?

Hose allowance is an amount of water let's say, that you need to consider and include in your sprinkler calculations. This amount is to be though as a extra safety flow capacity for manual fire means. This could be translated as flow from hoses connected to outside hydrant(s) or from the inside of the building to support the sprinkler system. This allowance is necessary even if at the end no hoses or connection are installed. Caution, this has nothing to do with standpipes. Standpipes is a complete other story written by other people under other criteria etc. Standpipes have specific requirements regarding flow and pressures for all three classes I, II or III. Hose allowance under the context of NFPA 13 has no requirements apart from flow.
