How do I insert a sketch into a file

I was in a hurry and saved the sketch but exited the drawing.

Is there a way to open a new one and put it in there?

When you are in sketcher mode you must go: Sketch -- >Data from File --> Type:sketch(-*.sec) and open your *.sec file. Scale factor should be 1 and rotating angle 0 deg.

Don't think this works for drawing mode...

If you didn't exit Pro/E, You might can retrieve it from the session directory.

If you are using intent manager, you can do what mvitez said. if you have intent manager turned off, you can use Sec Tools> Place Section. Hope this helps....

thank you very much

Does anyone know how to insert the sketch into a drawing? I have tried to no avail. You can Copy from Drawing to the sketcher, but do not seem to be able to copy the sketch to the drawing. I am running on UNIX which may make my circumstance different.

Create a datum-curve from your sketch in a part or assembly and use that..

go t o part create th efeature and use append to model to insert sketch
