Insert sheet from another drawing

I created multiple drawings for an assembly, now I wanted to put them together in one drawing file as multiple sheets. Is there a way to do this? Thanks.

Create or open the primary drawing file. Then on the top toolbar, select Insert, Shared Data > From File, and select a file.Sheet(s) will be added with the other drawing on them.

One more question: will the changes I made in a part be automatically reflected in the primary drawing file? Thanks.

If you change dimension size ot tolerances, yes. If you create new features, or redefine existing features with new dimensions, no. You will have to go into the drawing and add these dimensions into the primary drawing just like you will in the original drawing.


Just a word for thought: If you are going to create a drawing that has two or more models and/or assemblies, you can do this with one drawing. To add another model to the drawing, right-click on the empty screen and goto "Properties", then "Add Model". You can have an assembly drawing showing the assembly cuts, welds, bolts+nuts, etc. And also have individual viewsof each component.

I think we did similar way in one of our major project as explained by appinmi............extention to abovewe can even switch views between sheets and bring them to one sheet...still being associative..........!
