insert a pic and draw on it

Hello,

I was browsing few videos and saw someone working on Catia to draw a 3D car out of a picture.

Is this feature available in SWx, Can i insert a picture to be my guide for curves so i can draw on it and it will be as a background? and if yes how to do so?

Take a look at "sketch picture" in the SolidWorks help. You can do this very easily in SW.

another question : can i insert many pictures for different oriontation ? front, top and right views so i can draw a 3D model or of 3 views that i got with a camera ?

Sure--insert them into different sketches drawn on the planes you want them on.
