Inherit settings for dimensions

In NX 9 when I go to settings on a dimension and go to inherit, it always defaults to "preferences". I always use "selected object"
I could not find anything in customer defaults to change it. Is there a way to fix this?

Same for me. Thanks to ask.
The direct access to the "inherit" on NX8 was usefull.
It's now hidden behind multiple clics. :-(
