Information Window Math

Can the Information Window be used to do more than just display information? Could simple math be done within the window?
If I measure the length of two lines, the results are displayed in Information Window. Can I copy/paste the two results so that I could add or subtract the length values?

The listing window is a 'dumb' listing, nothing is associative, and while there is nothing stopping you from doing a 'Copy & Paste' to whatever sort of document that you wish to, the numbers are just simple text with no links to anything.

Now you can use 'Measure Distance' applying the 'Length' option to get the lengths of the two lines created as Expressions which can then used to create another expression equal to the sum of the two lengths. Using this method, editing either or both of the lines will cause all the expression values to update appropriately.

Not really. The information window just displays text much like the Windows "notepad" application. You can copy and paste values into a separate calculator application. Alternately, you can copy and paste them into NX's expression editor, which will do the math. Similarly, you can do math in almost any NX input box, such as the extrude dialog's start and end distance inputs.

Regarding your specific example, measuring lengths of lines, you can use the NX "measure length" command and select multiple disconnected curves or edges; NX will report the individual lengths and the sum total length in the information window (make sure to turn on the "show information window" option).
