hi there,
does anyone know whether MDO and MDX are developed by PTC or they have licensed them from another company?

MDX and MDO are two pieces that used to be Mechanica Motion, effectively.
Mechanica was a product that was developed by Rasna, which was purchased by PTC in the 1999 time frame.

Those products have been fully integrated, and further developed by PTC. Bottom line is that technology is PTC's, and not licensed, as far as I know.

thanks for your info, i thought it maybe uses ADAMS kernel.

indigo2 is on target - MDX/MDO are PTC developed "clean-sheet" codes that replaced Mechanica Motion. Both existed together for about 4 years or so. Mechanica Motion was last formally released with Wildfire 2. Most all the functionality in Motion is now available in MDX/MDO with a good number of additional capabilities.
