Hi.I'm simulating the evolution of the saturation index in an embankment after its consolidation(done in a situation of fixed saturation at 0.5 and pore pressure at -1000kPa).The job aborts during the step in which I deactivate the boundary condition of -1000KPa, I create a condition of zero pore pressure and I put a liquid load on the top.I think it is a problem of excessive deformation but I don't know how to solve it. Could you help me?

first can you try increasing the material strength (stiffness) to make sure if it is excessive deformation problem or not?

I have already tried with the way you suggest with a perfect elastic material and the job, even if very slowly and with many warnings due to plasticity divergence, has been completed with reasonable results.
