Inferring ambient tempearture from ambient pressure 1

Can anyone share ideas about how feasible it is to infer ambient temperature from ambient pressure?

There are quite a few min and max records set December > Feb in places like Idaho, Illinois, and Iowa. Hard to imagine it was very warm in Havre Montana on january 11.

Some FI systems include an air temp sensor and pressure sensor.

However, look at the data in the cite. I think you'll see that correlations are not absolute, and the range of pressures is tiny compared to the range of temperatures.

You can infer temperature from a known pressure if you also know V, n, & R, and have equilibrium.

Given that the OP asked about "ambient," the ideal gas laws can't be applied, since there is never equilibrium.
