Greetings all,

I'd like to know what is the code to determinate the remaning wall thickness of inside tubes of industrial water heater whose technic data are 200 Psig, 600ºF; that heater doesn't has its datasheet.

I think that the code applicable would be ASME SEC VIII Div 2 but need one second oppinion.

Thanks in advance

Why would the inspection and qualification of this device be different than for any other ASME vessel ?

It does have an ASME badge on the outside .... Right ? It wasn't purchased used or from a foreign country....

My little $150 water heater in the basement has an ASME certification and the tiny Lowe's compressed air receiver that I have in my garage has one also.

Inspection of pressure vessel wall thickness has been discussed many times on this forum

Review API-510 ...
