Hi Everyone,
I need to add a 30 kva indoor transformer inside an existing indoor air conditioned electrical room. The originally installed existing transformers sit on 2 inch raised concrete pads.
The electric room is dry, has a concrete floor and the transformer I am installing has 2 inch feet as well as anti vibration pads.
My questions:
What is the purpose of the 2 inch raised pad on an indoor electric room with a concrete floor?
What will be the long term ill effects if I do not use a raised pad and mount the transformer directly on the floor?
Thanks for your help.
Andy
