We have constructed a ( 1x1 meter) column last week. and for some reason we need to increase the height of this column for about 20cm.
do we need to plant steel for this column? if yes, how can we do it?
by knowing that the reinforcement of this column is 20mm - 20 piece equally distributed in all sides

Obviously not knowing what you are doing or why or what the loads are - shimming with steel beams or tubes or plates or a combination comes to mind.

Can you give us a better idea of what is going on??

I left my question without much detail to hear from you many different ideas. That will help me in future. but anyway, at the end of the column we have 4 anchor bolts. 1m long pre-installed .that will hold a steel structure. I'm not really aware of the load that this steel structure will carry. but whats the best option we have here.

How high is up.....??? You are supplying little to no info but want a definite answer -- sorry - no answer here...

I flunked "mid-reading" at good ole college - among other things

the column hight is about 4.5 m above the foundation and 0.8 m above the ground. we need to increase it to 1m above the ground.

How can you effectively design a fix for this apparent screw-up if you don't know the loads? If you had no load, you could simply put a mortar patch in there. You obviously have the load of a steel structure being transferred, so you have to consider the contact and bending stresses induced by the exposure of the anchor bolts.

Agree with MiketheEngineer....you have given us too few details to help you.
