I realise the strength trade-off but I would like to build a concrete slab exposed roof dwelling but would like it to have the best insulation properties possible. I want it to span whole rooms using its internal reinforcement. Load-bearing walls and floor would be concrete also. Is there anything I can incorporate in the mix which will help?

You could use air-entrained concrete. Make sure you look into any effects this may have on things like development length (I'm fairly certain it doesn't affect it, but you should still look into it)
