hi, i came accross a very informative article:

"Inclusion deformation and toughness anisotropy in hot-rolled steels (T. J. Baker, K. B. Gave, J. A. Charles, 1946)"

im not able to find anything more recent on that topic. could somebody point me in the right direction, please?
 
This phenomenon has long since become part of the core knowledge about rolled steel. Any article talking about hydrogen blistering will refer to the effects of inclusions and inclusion shapes.

Look also in:
- ASM Handbook (Volume 1 I think, or the Desk Edition)
- Any undergraduate text on material science

Thanks for the reference; I'll look it up if I ever want to go the the source.

thank you, i was rather looking for "research type" of info. (there is everything and nothing in books.)

There are dozens of PhD thesis published each year on this subject. The ranges from the source and composition to modification techniques. You need to search materials research databases and use a variety of search terms.
