This one has me buffaloed....

I have a sketch that I have included some edges from a protrusion into. When I change some of the dimensions of the original protrusion, should the included lines in the sketch not update?

Most of the time it works fine, but occasionally the included line becomes unbound from the original protrusion, and I get an "Edge/Rebind Failure" on the sketch. What ever that is supposed to mean...

It seems that the connections to the original edges get lost somehow. Any ideas what would cause this and how I can keep the included lines attached?

Hope this is clear enough.

Hi,

you will get this failure when the included edge has been
deleted and is then redrawn. Example: an edge is included
and a measurement from this line to say a hole is placed.
Redrawing the included line in the protrusion's profile
will create a new object. The included line is still
shown but now refers to an nonexisting object. The edge
it refers to can no longer be found within the parent
This is internally known as 'rebind'.
Changing the included geometry just by modifying the dimension
within the original (parent) profile should do no harm.
