Included angle 2

Does anyone use the expression "included angle" or "included" on drawings when describing angles?

if i am not wrong ..is that the one we call STEP ANGLE in AUTOCAD??..& in other words is it increment angle??? i am not sure....

Included angle would be the total angle of a countersink. I.E. 100deg for use with a 100deg flat head screw. Also the angle on the screw could be described as and included angle. I have seen the term used in describing a countersink in a note.

Thank you for your help. There was a half angle on a drawing and it had the note INCLUDED below it. It was intended to imply the full angle. May of us were not familiar with this term.

I have used "included" in several locations.

Sometimes just to eliminate potential abiguity, to ensure I got the right angle or taper.

In molded or cast parts, where you have to watch wall thickness build up on drafted surfaces, I always call out the "included" draft angle on free standing features such as bosses and ribs.
