If anybody is familiar with training course for in-situ testing (DMT, CPT etc....) offered by some college/university.

No, but I suggest that you do a google for "Paul Mayne" who is a professor (and former student colleague of mine at Cornell) at Georgia Tech. You find his home page, download the articles, read them and you will have just about all you will need to know! - without, though, the hands-on.
