In designinig a tank of SS 316 L in service of a combination of H2SO4 & NaOH, wat corosion allowances should i keep. How shud i decide for the thickness of tank side walls & base? its dimensions r 16m*9m*1.8m.
can anyone help :)?

You need to specify max concentration, max temp, and what contaminants may be present.

its operating at ambient conditions with 4% H2SO4, 2% NaOH & dilute NaCl. If i use SS316l, will it be Ok?

Yes, it will be okay. Sedriks gives the corrosion rate at less than 0.1g per square meter per day or 0.001 inch per year.

It would be good to know how dilute the NaCl will be. Its harmfulness varies exponentially with concentration.
