Improvement of wettability of SiC particles with Al

I am trying to produce Al-SiC particulate MMC in the molten state by stirring. I have tried to mix the SiC particles with oxidized and non-oxidized surface, but just after stirring, all the particles seperated out from the melt at the surface. Can any body suggusted any solution of this problem?

Aluminum matrix google search may give you a starting point. This 1987 patent seems to suggest adding small amounts of Lithium increases the wetting properties of reinforcing materials.
