Hi guys,

I'm trying to import large step files that were converted from CATIA.

1. Files are imported as single parts although they were assemblies at origin. I would like them to remain assemblies.

2. After successfully importing them I want to export them as igs or step again but they will not export and I get fatal errors in the xlo file.

I would really appreciate any ideas in this matter.

Thanks

I don't have much experience with step files, but many of the comments that I have seen have indicated that importing them into Mech Desktop first is often a better way to go. Once in MDT you have other choices for saving, and MDT seems to "heal" them better.

Again, not much experience with step files.
