Importing Parameterized Catia model in to ANSYS Workbench

All,

1) I am working on a design of experiment (DoE) in ANSYS.

2) I created a parameterized model in Catia V5.

3) I wish to be able to pull in those parameters defined in Catia in to Ansys so the DoE can run as per a usual DoE experiment.

4) I have already converted the Catia Product (assembly) in to .igs and imported the model in to ANSYS Design Modeler (DM).

5) I have also attempted to design the parts + assembly in ANSYS DM to help retain the in-ANSYS-linkage of parameters but DM is too primitive and wont model the complex geometry of my model.

6) I am also trying to get to grips with CAD Nexus where I'm told this retains the parameters defined in Catia and shows them in ANSYS - however I am having no luck.

Could someone please offer some advice/assistance/explain their working procedure?

Many thanks.

David.

I don't have experience with Catia V5 though there has been documented limitations in earlier versions of Ansys.

Try using SpaceClaim instead of DM (example). It might save you some time.

Kind regards,
Jason
