I am currently trying out Solid Edge as an alternative to AutoCAD, but I have a lot of AutoCAD files that I need backwards compatibility with (about 25 years worth). Right now I'm trying out the Solid Edge free 2D system, and I am looking into the actual 2D/3D package. When I open .dwg files in Solid Edge 2D I cannot get it to correctly import all of my AutoCAD multiline text. Does anyone have a solution for this? I have looked in the import options and the seacad.ini file and I still cannot get this fixed. An example,

Autocad

39
DO 9
MX5

SolidEdge 2D MultiLine text conversion

39
DO
9
MX5

The actual textbox size is much greater than the actual text contained within, but it still imports it funny, any solutions anyone?

If anyone has a solution, or if this has been previously answered in the the forum please let me know. I appreciate your time spent on this, thank you.
