After using the warp feature in Pro/Engineer Wildfire to bend and twist a straight circular tube, Im having great difficulty importing the part into abaqus. I try all the repair options but the program is unable to solve the problem and still states that there is invalid geometry. What can I do?

Thanks

There is a repair tool in CAE to fix invalid geometry. Usually the problem arises because the original object was drawn with gaps in it. If you can't get them to draw it properly then try the virtual geometry tool to remove odd lines.

A significant improvement in V6.5-1 of CAE is the ability to use geometry repair tools on invalid parts. It is now possible to collapse edges, create faces, remove slivers, repair normals, fix invalid edges, merge edges... The latter feature is one possibility if there are invalid vertices being reported in the geometry diagnostics tool...
