Import STP file into CATPart

Hi All

Can I import STP file into existing CATPart. I managed to copy into CATProduct but just wondering can i do that in CATPart?

Importing a step creates a new catpart. You will then need to copy the information from one part to the other part.

Thanks for your replay. How do i import stp file?, I opened the stp file then copied all the part body's into a new CATPart file, this worked. Is this the right way?

Once you open the step file, you can just save as .CATPart as opposed to copying into a new blank file. Unless you need to add the data to an existing file, then you need to copy/paste
