Import stl. file into NX CAM tool library

Looking for a way to import a .stl or .stp file of a tool model into the NX Cam tool library. Can I do it directly or do go between software. Currently running NX7.5 but going to NX8.5 in a few months. We do not have PLM implemented yet that is slated for next year, so any solution within PLM will not be viable. Any assistance would be appreciated.

You first need to open or import it, and create a valid NX .prt file. Then you should be able to use it with the tool library, like any other tool assembly.
