Hi,
I'm modelling a vessel in Catia, and I have a Napa modell.
Is it a straight forward import?
What is the best way to import this modell to Catia?

I had a read on the NAPA site, not many choices for output but I would use Iges.

Derek

Thanks for the reoly derek!
I'm familiar with the iges output. I'll look more into that.

Do you know what my options are regarding what to export from napa? Can i get the skin without any lines?

Wb

That I am not sure of but you can sort the data fairly easily in Catia if you use Edit --> Search (Cntrl+F). You can set the type to surface the search and select. With all the surfaces selected Insert --> Geometric set. This will take all selected items and place in a new geometric set.
I am not sure if you have this option but when in Part Design or Generative Shape Design you could use Tools --> Show or Tools --> Hide and quick select surface, points, lines....

Regards,
Derek
